How do I book a session?
Feel free to call or email me to book a session. Please be sure to include what type of pictures you are interested in having done, and whether you prefer to shoot on weekends or weekdays. I will respond with some available dates & times. Once a date is agreed upon, a $50 deposit is required to confirm your session. The best and most secure way to pay for this deposit is though PayPal.
Where do you work?
Although I am based in Southern Connecticut, I am available to do shoots in NYC, on Long Island, & more. There may be ab additional travel expense depending on the location you would like to have your shoot..
What happens at the session?
Either you can choose the location of your session, we can take photos in your home where you and your family are most comfortable, or we can recommend some great locations based on your interests. We want the photos to reflect who you truly are; therefore, each session is custom designed to your interests. We will work closely with you to get the most out of your photos.
Newborn sessions
It's best to book your newborn session while you are still pregnant. Ideally we would want to take pictures within the first week of the baby's life, while the baby is still sleepy and brand new to this great big place. We will pencil you in around your due date, and firm up the appointment when you notify us of the baby's arrival. The nicest photos are of babies that are still curled up from being in Mama's belly. You will love the way they manage to sleep anywhere you place them.
If you have already had your baby, we have some wonderful ways to bring out the personality your new little one continues to develop each and every day. Newborn sessions usually run around two hours to ensure the needs of the baby are being met, and to ensure that we have a happy baby on our hands.
What to wear and where to go?
Let me know if you have a specific location in mind where you would like your pictures taken -I love finding new and interesting places! If you do not have any ideas, I am more than happy to make some recommendations based on your interests, the type of clothes you plan on wearing, the time of year, and the weather.
Newborn sessions are generally done in the home, since newborns are not usually too fond of travel. I will bring all studio equipment to your house, and we will capture the moment there. If the weather is promising and the baby is cooperating, we can always travel to the great outdoors (or your yard).
